Ambulance Vehicles

back

Exterior and interior presentation of Volkswagen Crafter:

Front view:

This Volkswagen Crafter was developed as patient transport ambulance (PTA) in accordance with DIN EN 1789.

The modular design of the C.MIESEN ambulance arrangements enables us to offer you a wide range of possible conversions. Thus, your vehicle can be tailored meeting your individual needs.

On this presentation you see one example of many possibilities.

Tail view:

The paint scheme is according to customer request, it follows the color guideline for ambulances used in North Rhine-Westphalia, the most populous state of Germany.

An aluminium made footstep at the rear of the vehicle eases the entrance to the patient's compartment, At the same time it serves as a bumper and absorber for minor collisions: due to its technical design it captures minor shocks, which are not transmitted to the vehicle structure and protect it against inherent damages.

View from the sliding door entrance:

Close to the partition wall is a cabinet, which is perfectly accessible from the side door. Two emergency cases or an emergency backpack can be stored here. At the front of that cabinet is a folding seat with 2-point lap belt and headrest - you can imagine this at the very right of the picture.

The flooring in the rear compartment is made of anti-slippery and antistatic material in blue color. The edges have been raised to serve as skirting and sealed. On the picture brown paper was put on the floor to protect the brand-new interior from pollution.

Bright light strips provide an excellent illumination of the patient's room.

Patient's compartment:

Sidewalls, wheel arches and ceiling of the patient's room consist of only three GRP form parts. Over the side domes these parts have been stuck together to one piece, what optimizes cleaning and disinfecting. The GRP-parts guarantee for highest hygiene claims. Curves diminish the injury danger for patient and attendant. Besides, GRP material - in contrast to the ABS plastic used in earlier times of ambulance manufacturing - appears non-yellowing, still after years. The high strength of GRP prevents a splintering of the panels if a crash occurs - an important safety aspect.

A stretcher and a patient's chair provide best possible accommodation for patients with different ailments.

The footstep covers the entire vehicle width, and facilitates the access to the patient's room.

Tail view:

The stretcher is mounted in the center of the patient's room. A large storage cabinet at the right sidewall stores a lot of medical devices and supplies.

Exterior and interior representation of a Volkswagen Caddy:

Front view:

The Volkswagen Caddy ambulance is intended for export only.

Tail view:

The entrance to the patient's room is provided by the standard doors.

View from the driver's cab into the patient's compartment:

Small racks let you store medical equipment.

View from the rear:

To the left there is a bench seat with a storage box underneath. At the right side a DIN stretcher takes place.

Exterior and interior presentation of a Volkswagen T5 (low roof):

Frontal view:

This vehicle is equipped with two rotating beacons - one at the front and one at the rear. Painting according to customer request.

View from the rear:

At the very left a "cabinet wall" was installed - next to the stretcher. To the right we mounted a bench seat with an underneath storage box.

Partition wall:

The partition consists of two movable panes of shatterproof glass. In the bottom area you see on the left side the heater outlet nozzles, at the right side the lid of a storage compartment. To the very right a storage area for an oxygen bottle is foreseen. Optimal illumination of the patient's compartment is provided by halogen spotlights, smooth integrated in the ceiling.

Side panel cabinet:

Enough storage space is ensured by a lot of shelfs at the left sidewall. Different sizes of the compartments provide storing of larger technical devices as well as small medical supplies.

Exterior and interior representation of a Volkswagen T5 with high roof and integrated emergency lights system:

Front view:

This Volkswagen T5 (wheelbase 3.400mm) is equipped with the C.MIESEN high roof, made of GRP. A striking detail of this roof is the integrated emergency lights system: smoothly embedded into the vehicles surface, an optimized Cw-value decreases the fuel consumption and increases the economy of this ambulance. The associated noise reduction results in a larger travel comfort, too.

According to customer request we painted this car in yellow and attached a 'Star od life' and red stripes.

Tail view:

The tail view shows the rear integrated emergency lights system. If desired we can also supply conventional warning bars or beacons.

The modern design with eye-catching colors and contouring provides a good conspicuity in road traffic and thus offers an optimal optical safety.

View into the patient's compartment:

A view into the rear compartment reveals the practical loading of a roll-in stretcher via an exendable loading tray. At the right side the installation of a carrying chair is possible.

View of the left sidewall:

The modular design of our interior provides a wide range of possible arrangements. We can flexibly adapt an ambulance to your individual needs.

On the picture you see a conversion with a big storage box at the rear left sidewall. An oxygen bottle can be safely placed in this box

Medi-boards at the upper sidewall area provide storage space for medical supplies.

Exterior and interior representation of a Volkswagen T5 - with original high roof:

Front view:

This Volkswagen T5 (wheelbase 3.400mm) is equipped with an original high roof from the factory. An outstanding feature of this roof is the embedded emergency lights system: smooth integrated into the vehicles surface, optimized aerodynamics decrease the fuel consumption and increase the economy of this vehicle. The associated noise reduction results in a larger travel comfort, too.

The coloring follows the paint scheme of the German automobile club ADAC.

Tail view:

We installed a GRP console in the upper area of the vehicle's rear and integrated LED modules in both blue and yellow to secure the vehicle to the rear. Also included is an additional red brake light. If switched on, two working spotlights illuminate the area behind the ambulance. If desired, an optional rear view camera for background overview could be mounted in the center of the console.

View into the patient's compartment:

A view into the rear compartment reveals the practical loading of a roll-in stretcher. At the right side the installation of a carrying chair accommodates seating patients. The stretcher and chair loading is via foldable loading trays.

Sidewalls, wheel arches and ceiling of the patient's room consist of only three GRP form parts. Over the side domes these parts have been stuck together to one piece, what optimizes cleaning and disinfecting.
